Are you at peace with yourself ?  Are you able to truly find that place in your inner being and heart where contentment and calm exist. ?  If you are like me, it isn’t always easy to just be in this total state of serenity where all your concerns , struggles and cares somehow just melt away.

The demands of living in this world weigh us down, distract us, and keep us from finding that place.  Work, relationships, raising kids, paying bills, shopping, pain, guilt, regrets, worry, arguing, conflicts, appointments, traffic, homework, laundry, cleaning just to mention a few.   

My friends just for today keep and remind yourself of the peace only Jesus Christ can give you.  Let these four verses which Jesus is saying to you fill you up.

 Matthew 11: 28,29  “ Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest,  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (emphasis mine)

Don’t just read it and forget about it, let it truly speak to you, let it fill your heart, mind and soul.  Jesus does not say -  go to your friends, your co-workers, your spouse when you are not at peace, upset, frustrated or troubled – He says COME TO ME And I WILL GIVE you rest.  LEARN FROM ME so you can FIND REST for your souls. 

John 14: 27  “ Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you, Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”  Jesus reminds us, that the peace we so desire is not found in this world, It can only be found with Him in the Spirit through prayer and reading His words of truth.

Philippians 4: 7  “ The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”  His peace and His joy can only be obtained when you allow Him to speak to you through passages in the Bible or through daily devotionals.

Psalm 46: 10  “ Be still and know that I am God;”  He is God and we are not.   Slow down - be still-  and truly reflect on His Holiness, His majesty, His splendor,  His Supremacy and His Sovereignty over all living things.   

God is Love - God is Spirit - God is Light - God is Life

Start today – Don’t delay and change your life - Let the words of God speak to you and be filled with a peace and joy beyond measure.
