All God's Glory
Living for God’s glory is the greatest achievement one can accomplish in life. Everything God has created is all for His pleasure and all for His glory. Philippians 2:13 “ For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure (to fulfill His purpose)” (emphasis mine)
Isaiah 43:7 “ They are my own people and I created them to bring Me glory.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1,11 “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven. v11 He has made everything beautiful in its time and put eternity in their[our] hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.” (emphasis mine)
Here are five purposes God has for your life that bring Him glory.
--- We bring God glory by worshipping and praying to Him and for others
--- We bring God glory by loving Him and our neighbors
--- We bring God glory by becoming more Christlike in thoughts, words and actions
--- We bring God glory by using our gifts to serve Him and others
--- We bring God glory by telling others about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
Three keys of how to obtain God’s glory in your heart
--- When you completely trust Christ with your life by giving up self, God puts His glory in you
--- The more you focus on living for God’s glory the more you will be filled with great joy and peace
--- If you have committed your life to Christ, you will one day share in all of God’s glory
Additional verses to meditate and think about this week.
2 Peter 1:3,4 “ His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
Ephesians 3:16-19 “ I pray that God would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Ephesians 1:3-14 “ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.5 In love, he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which He has blessed us in the Beloved(Jesus Christ) 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to His purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth.
11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. 13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee(down payment)of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it (or until God redeems his possession) to the praise of his glory.”
We have all been created for God’s glory and shall worship and praise Him for all that He is and all that He has done and continues to do for us on a daily basis. Psalm 139
God is the life source of all living things and in the natural order of creation in all the known universe. Job 12:10; John 1:1-4 He is the reason we exist and it is He who causes us to live move and have our being. Acts 17:28
We belong to God and we are His. Romans 14:7,8 “ For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. 8 For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.”
