Do you consider yourself a Christian ?  Do you spend time in scripture ?  Do you pray and feed your heart, mind and soul with God's Love ?  

I ask these questions because for over 53 years I was a pretend Christian, I attended church, never prayed much nor did I spend any time reading scripture.  Early in my life I just could never be convinced that what I heard in church was enough to turn my life over to Jesus Christ.   

Deep down, I may have thought since Jesus had died for my sins- I was already forgiven and could just go about living my life any way I chose.  How ignorant and foolish I was.

In April 2017, my life was completely transformed when God;s grace filled my heart with love by the Holy Spirit and I became a true beliver.  My amazing journey is explained in more detail with my first book.

What i want to share this week is the parable of the sower that explains with clarity how I struggled most of my life without God in it.  Perhaps if you are struggling with anything in your life right now it could be helpful for you as well. 

Spoken by the very words of Jesus Christ in Matthew 13: 19-23  " When anyone hears the word of the Kingdom and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in the heart.  This is the one who received seed by the wayside.  But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while, for when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.  Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word , and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches chokes the word, and he becomes unfruitful.  But he who receives seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces ;  some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. "

My friends I spend most of my entire life among the thorns, going my own selfish, greedy ways and living life my way - not God's way !   Don't allow this to happen to you.  Allow God into your life and enlighten your eyes to the riches of His Love, Truth and Peace.
