Romans 1:16,17  “ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.”  v17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, “ The righteous shall live by faith.” ( see also 1 Corinthians 1:18, Psalm 40:9,10, Habukkuk 2:4)

My friends are you ashamed or unashamed of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ?  Are you a Christ follower who keeps your faith to yourself ?  Outside of church do you share your love of Jesus with others ?   For many, of us we tend to keep our faith to ourselves and why do we do this ?  

Here are three reasons:   Because we feel that it is no one else’s business and just needs to be a private matter.  We have been ridiculed or accused of being judgmental.  Society and the secular view is that the name of Jesus Christ has no place outside of church and home. 

In all honesty, the biggest reason of all is because we are pretend Christians, pretend believers – we are  hypocrites.  I know this to be true, because for over 53 years, I was one myself.  Professed to be a Christian- attended church- externally wanted people to think that I was- but inside I was not.  I was a fool, blinded by the truth, ignorant of the knowledge of God and did not have the Love of Christ in my heart. 

Let these words of truth encourage you and be enlightened to God’s holy words and allow them into your heart, mind and soul.  Discover as I have the immeasurable joy and peace in having God in your heart and in your life. 

Jesus Christ himself said in Matthew 10:32,33  “ Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.  v33 “But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.”   If you are not proclaiming, acknowledging and declaring your love of Christ to others then truly you are where I was for so many years. 

Matthew 11:6  “ And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”  

Romans 10:8-11  v8 - “ The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart and that is the word of faith.  vs 9 “So that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”  vs10- “ For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”  v11  For the scripture says, “ Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” (See also Isaiah 28:16) 

This is not just a simple acknowledgement, but a deep personal conviction that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation.  It is completely trusting, beyond any doubt, and submitting yourself to God and giving Him complete control of your life.  Your whole life will be completely transformed and give you a whole new level of meaning and purpose beyond your wildest dreams.

2 Timothy 2:15 “ Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
