Christmas Joy
Let us pause, to remember, reflect, rejoice and give thanks for all the many blessings that God has given us in preparation of the busiest holiday season of all -CHRISTmas. Christmas, for many, has lost the true meaning of why we celebrate the greatest gift to all of mankind - the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Instead of being cause for great joy and celebration it is a stressful time for many. Shopping, gift wrapping, baking, decorating, parties, traveling, families, cooking and piling up massive credit card debt.
To help us restore, find peace, calm and to be truly thankful this year, lets pause and take a moment to Remember, Reflect, Rejoice and fill your heart with love and these words of truth.
The coming messiah and birth of Christ was prophesied by Isaiah, 700 years before it happened, as found in Isaiah 7:14 “ Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel." The meaning of Immanuel is God with Us.
Again in Isaiah 9:6-7 “ For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever, the zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”
700 years of the long-awaited hope and anticipation of the coming Messiah, and the birth of our Lord and Savior was finally announced and proclaimed to lonely shepherds in the night sky. .
Luke 2:9-14 “ And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid, v10 Then the angel said to them, Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.. v11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. v12 And this will be a sign to you; You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manager. v13 Then suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying; v14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.” (emphasis mine)
Let us remember the true reason of Christmas and why we should take great joy as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus, God in the flesh, came into the world to save Us, (You, and I) from sin and death. His birth, death and resurrection was God’s divine plan of salvation, so that we could be declared righteous, forgiven and reconciled in the eyes of God for those of us who believe in Him.
Let your hearts be filled with great Joy as we take the time to Pause - Remember-Reflect - and Rejoice on the greatness of this glorious gift !
Start today – Don’t delay and change your life - Let the words of God speak to you and be filled with a peace and joy beyond measure.
